San Fran A

Its finally time for an update! Apologies for the lateness but internet and computer access has been
unusually sparse in 'the worlds most powerful country'
Theres so much to show you all but we will have to summarise things for the moment.. enjoy!

Breakfast time, after a mission of a walk we finally arrived to the place that has the millionaire's bacon, as seen on tv.. lets just say its something that I wouldnt order again..

The very popular Pier 39, was ok i guess, nothing to rave on about!

Famous Lombard street, 'crookedest' street

The Full House houses!.. dont know which one though..

Cable cars! very cool to ride on but very unreliable.. only for the tourists I think, and there wasnt a shortage of us

Headed out of San Fran for the morning to Muir Woods to check out the Coastal redwood trees of California, driving over the famous golden gate bridge

Coastal redwood trees are the tallest trees in the world - up to around 120m, The giant redwood are the largest in girth and height, nevertheless these coastal redwoods were extremely impressive to see. They can live for up to 2000years but these ones averaged about 1200years for the mature trees due to extensive logging in the past. These woods were very popular and for good reason and these photos cant really capture the actual size..

These woods are basically untouched - apart from the walking trail + fence- for hundreds and hundreds of years. Its like taking a walk back in time..

A cross section of an actual tree that was on the forest floor and an interesting time line of events during its life..

Dinner time, perfect place on a cold san fran afternoon... this time Tony's pizza, so simple yet so tasty, so far the best pizza ive ever had! - and weve had a couple in NYC already!
