My turn at this blog thing now! :)
Had a late start this morning, as we were still feeling a bit jetlagged and tired from our rollercoaster adventure yesterday! Jean wakes me up after hearing some ruckus outside. Peered through our hotel window to see some old guy in front of the Grauman Chinese Theater.
Well it turns out the old dude was ROBERT DE NIRO! Only in Hollywood I say!!

After our Hollywood encounter, and more than an hour on two buses, we were at Venice Beach. The moment we stepped of the bus we were greeted with some chilly weather, which was a surprise from the nice sunny weather we had when we left the hotel! Reminded us of good old Melbourne weather!
Venice Beach was awesome! There were a lot of people strolling the side walks, skating and playing basketball. Still plenty of weirdos but fewer bums!!!
There were a lot of stores selling souvenir shirts and jumpers. Amongst them were some really cool shops. One of them sold these cool figurines made out of recycled steel! It was amazing - all handmade (and very heavy too).
Another popular mode of transport in Venice beach were bikes!! Of course I knew what was coming next ..... Jean sighing at my inability to ride a bike (really no surprise there!!). After walking for a while more, and a few more reminders from Jean about my (lack thereof) bike riding skills, we decided to hire one of those tandem bikes! Hooray, no more whinging!!! Lol. Was definitely a good idea as we managed to ride to Santa Monica Pier - wouldn't have gotten there on foot otherwise!
After a lovely day at Venice Beach and Santa Monica, we decided to stop over at the Grove on the bus trip home. The Grove is this cool outdoor shopping area, really nice! Supposedly they film some entertainment news program there with celebrities! And no, we didnt see anymore hollywood sightings (well today anyway!). After a walkabout around the shops, we stopped by Mixology for a few drinks. Really nice bar!
Alright, I think that pretty much wraps things up for the day!
